GODS PLAYING IN THE CLOUDS QIGONG
OCTOBER 4-7, 2025
MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN
New & Existing Students Welcome
Develop Internal Power for Health, Healing & Well-being
Practiced and passed down for four millennia, Gods Playing in the Clouds Qigong is the oldest and most powerful of the Taoist longevity arts. The open, flowing movements of Gods Qigong are packed with internal (neigong) content and qi techniques that:
Systematically clear stagnancies, blockages, illnesses and injuries,
yielding a strong, resilient and vibrant body, qi and mind.
What You Will Learn
Attend this four-day retreat (weekend-only option) for an immersion in the form, structure, and internal content of Gods Playing in the Clouds Qigong. You will learn an effective and highly efficient neigong practice you can train as a part of your personal wellness routine.
I’ll offer step-by-step guidance on the choreography of form movements and we’ll delve into various aspects of Water Method training, including:
Optimal stretching techniques for the body’s soft tissues.
How to connect the arms and legs to the spine.
How to generate whole-body motion.
Breathing cycles and energetic flows.
How to engage and massage the internal organ base.
Everyone Is Welcome
Beginners and those new to Gods Qigong will learn two or three movements of the set in order to keep the focus on learning and developing the internal (neigong) techniques that power health and healing benefits. My aim is to give you a taste of pure Taoist neigong, with the four-day retreat offering the most depth and refinements.
Existing Gods Qigong practitioners will receive hands-on corrections and guidance on how to incorporate the neigong presented throughout the six-movement set.
Powering Up Form Movements
We’ll weave together the following neigong throughout the four-day course:
Postural alignments in stillness and movement.
Maintaining fully lengthened soft tissues (muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments).
Bending and stretching the body’s soft tissues.
Opening and closing (a.k.a. pulsing) the joints and cavities of the body.
Taoist breathing.
The specific qi flows of each movement.
All my in-person courses are tailored to those present, so I’ll also bring in other elements of practice as relevant to the needs and interests of the participants.
Qigong & Tai Chi Instructors/Prospective Instructors
TTCS teachers, teacher-trainees and prospective teachers will receive 9 hours training credit for the weekend seminar/18 hours for the four-day retreat towards prerequisite in-person training hours.
